Toshiba is celebrating 25 years of laptop production by announcing some innovative new products that'll arrive later this year. The forthcoming Toshiba AC100 has an ultra-slim laptop form with a 10-inch screen but runs the Android operating system. It promises up to 8 hours battery life (or a week on 'standby'). A WiFi-only version is due in August, with a a 3G-equipped model expected to follow.

Toshiba Libretto W100At first glance the Libretto W100 also looks like a netbook with a 7-inch screen, although it's actually a dual-screen device. The second screen can be used as a virtual keyboard… or, if the device is used vertically, can be read like a book. This is described as "the world’s first dual touchscreen Windows 7 device" and will be available from 'late summer'. There'll be two versions; WiFi-only and 3G + WiFi. Battery life is 3½ hours.
