Mark Bridge writes:

In recent months we’ve run some surveys on our home page. The results make interesting reading (although we’ll happily admit they’re not likely to be representative of UK mobile users in general).

First, we asked “Which Operating System will be on your next handset?”

Over a third – 36% – chose Android, followed by 26% picking Apple’s iPhone (iOS). In joint third place, each with 9%, came Symbian and Windows. BlackBerry picked up 7%, MeeGo had 5% and ‘something else’ also gained 5%.

Which OS? survey

Next, as antennagate hit the headlines, we asked “How do you make most of your mobile phone calls?”

The majority of respondents held their mobile phones in their right hands – a total of 60% – while 27% were left-handed users. Curiously, no-one owned up to using a Bluetooth headset; wired headsets and the phone’s own built-in loudspeaker were the only other options selected.

How do you hold your mobile phone? survey

This month’s survey is asking about tablet computers. We’d love to hear from you; just head for the home page at TheFonecast.com and select your answer to the question “Have you bought a tablet device this year?”
