Smartphone companies OnePlus and Oppo will be working more closely together in the future, according to a forum post by OnePlus CEO Pete Lau. Mr Lau had already been looking after Oppo’s product strategy since last year.

Both companies will remain as separate brands. Oppo is a subsidiary of Chinese manufacturer BBK Electronics Corporation (along with smartphone brands IQOO, Realme and Vivo), while OnePlus is reported to be owned by Oppo.

In his post, Mr Lau wrote “As many of you know, last year I took on some additional responsibilities to oversee product strategy for both OnePlus and OPPO. Since then, we have integrated a number of our teams together with OPPO to better streamline our operations and capitalize on additional shared resources. After seeing positive impact from those changes, we’ve decided to further integrate our organization with OPPO. I’m confident that this change will be positive for our community and our users. With this deeper integration with OPPO, we will have more resources at hand to create even better products for you. It will also allow us to be more efficient, for example, bringing faster and more stable software updates for OnePlus users.”

Mark Bridge writes:

The most memorable moments in life often go unrecorded. You don't have your camera in your hands. Your finger is still hovering over the 'pause' button on your audio recorder. Or you were simply too busy experiencing whatever was happening. It's all about the one that got away.

That's where Kapture can help.
