2 billion applications downloaded from Apple’s App Store

In April, Apple announced that iPhone and iPod touch customers had downloaded more than a billion applications. In July, a year after the App Store launched, it hit 1.5 billion apps. And now Apple says more than two billion apps have been downloaded from the App Store. There are around 50 million iPhone and iPod touch customers worldwide and over 85,000 apps available to download. [Press release]
