A new survey from Juniper Research has revealed that more than 3 million consumers have used mobile coupons in the UK. It also suggests that the redemption rate for coupons on mobile phones is six times greater than the 1% response typically expected from paper coupons.
Over three-quarters of the people questioned were aware of mobile coupons, which can be sent via SMS, claimed from web sites or downloaded from 'smart posters' using Bluetooth.
