3 UK to launch WiFi ‘wireless dongle’

3 UK has said it’s going to launch a Mobile WiFi service later this year. Unlike 3G ‘dongles’ that plug in to your laptop, the Mobile WiFi device (which Hutchison 3G UK has trademarked as MiFi®) sends out a WiFi signal for a wireless connection. The MiFi modem is the size of a small mobile phone (86mm x 45mm x 10mm). [Press release]
