400% increase in mobile YouTube uploads since iPhone 3GS launch

The number of video clips recorded on mobile phones and uploaded to YouTube has increased by 400% since the video-equipped Apple iPhone 3GS was released last Friday. It’s a dramatic increase but is also part of a general trend towards mobile video; the volume of mobile phone video clips uploaded to YouTube has increased seventeen-fold in the last six months.
