4G will grow faster than any previous mobile standard

A report from Pyramid Research says the number of Long Term Evolution (LTE) subscriptions worldwide will reach 100 million subscriptions in just over four years; a Compound Annual Growth Rate of 404% from 2010 – when commercial rollout of LTE is expected to start - to 2014. 3G technology took almost six years to reach the same figure.
