Charlie Kindel, Microsoft's Partner Group Program Manager for the Windows Phone Application Platform & Developer Experience, has published a blog post about developing apps for Windows Phones.
In it he confirms – as has been rumoured for a while – that previous Windows mobile applications will not run on Windows Phone 7 Series, although he also points out that support for Windows Mobile 6.5 devices will continue "for many years to come".
