Vodafone outsources UK network maintenance to Ericsson

Vodafone has done a seven-year deal that'll see Ericsson providing maintenance and operational support on its 2G and 3G networks in the UK. The contract also involves around 350 employees being transferred from Vodafone to Ericsson. Vodafone says the cost savings involved will let it deliver new products and services. [Press release]
