Vodafone UK is offering free text updates to and from micro-blogging website Twitter. There’s a fair usage limit of 500 texts per month. Since last year, receiving ‘tweets’ by SMS has been restricted to users in North America. Sending SMS updates to Twitter will only be free of charge for a few weeks before standard charges are introduced, although text message updates sent from Twitter will remain free of charge.
