Orange drops planned price increase

Orange says it’s changed its mind about changing the minimum charge for out-of-bundle ‘pay monthly’ calls, international call charges from the UK and pay-as-you consume data.

The company says its communications with customers had been confusing, which is why it’s decided not to go ahead with the proposed changes at this time. However a number of sources had suggested that the price increase would also let Orange customers terminate their contracts without penalty.
