New President and Chairman lined up for Sony Ericsson

Sony Ericsson is making some changes to its management structure. Bert Nordberg is joining from the Ericsson Group to become Co-President from 1st September. He’ll work alongside current Sony Ericsson President Hideki (Dick) Komiyama until 15th October when he’ll take over. Dick Komiyama will retire from the company at the end of 2009 after two years with Sony Ericsson. 

As well as this, Sir Howard Stringer – Chairman, CEO and President of Sony - will become Chairman of the Board of Sony Ericsson on 15th October. He’ll replace Carl-Henric Svanberg, President & CEO of Ericsson. [Press release]
