Vodafone contacted by Serious Fraud Office about Ghana deal

Last year Vodafone bought a 70% share in Ghana Telecom; a business deal that’s been criticised by some in Ghana for not giving the government good value for money. Now the Financial Times reports that the UK Serious Fraud Office has spoken to Stephen Scott, Vodafone’s head of legal affairs, about the Ghanaian deal. There’s no suggestion of any formal investigation at this stage.
