Mobile phone customers aren’t as promiscuous as many people think, according to new research from Strategy Analytics. They’ve found that consumers in Western Europe and the USA show relatively high intentions of staying with their current network operator when they upgrade to their next mobile device. 64% of users in Western Europe said they would ‘definitely’ or ‘probably’ stay with their current network operator when buying their next mobile phone, as did 71% of US users. The survey looked at customers from O2 and Orange in the UK, AT&T and Verizon Wireless in the US and T-Mobile in Germany. O2 UK customers were the most loyal in the group. [Press release]
