Mobile Marketing Association looks for a new CEO

The Mobile Marketing Association has announced that Mike Wehrs, the organisation's CEO and President, is resigning at the end of the year – slightly less than 12 months after he joined. He'll remain as a 'special advisor' for a further six months to ensure a smooth transition. MMA Global Chairman Federico Pisani Massamormile will serve as interim CEO until the MMA Board finds a new global Executive.

Mr Pisani Massamormile said "Mike's leadership has been beneficial not only to the MMA but the industry itself. We are disappointed to see him leave but support him in his goals to return to the commercial sector and appreciate him staying on as a special advisor for a period of time. Having benefited from Mike's leadership, the MMA has transformed over the past year and is finishing 2009 in a great position."

The Mobile Marketing Association is a global non-profit trade association established to lead the growth of mobile marketing and its associated technologies. [Press release]
