Mobile phone complaints have fallen in the UK

UK advice service Consumer Direct says the number of complaints about mobile phone deals fell by about a third in 2009. Second-hand car complaints topped the list for the fourth year running, with televisions moving up to second place and mobile phone contracts falling to third place.

Mobile phone hardware was fourth on the list of consumer complaints, while laptop complaints were up 42% to fifth place.

The number of complaints doesn't necessarily relate to genuine grievances but indicates consumer dissatisfaction and a desire for additional information about legal rights. [Sources: BBC News; ClaimsFinancial.co.uk]
