Improv comedy show invites audience participation via mobile

Improvised comedy group The Noise Next Door is planning a performance where audience members can participate by SMS text message or via a mobile internet site. The performance, on 4th March 2010 at Winchester University, is called Txt Stage and will be influenced in real-time by the mobile contributions of its audience. Technical support is coming from mobile internet software company bemoko.

Tom Livingstone from The Noise Next Door said “We’re really excited by the idea of a show based around texting, especially the element of anonymity. It’s likely to be pretty crazy and probably a bit rude, but we hope to get a really good response and a wider range of suggestions than those normally just shouted out. It should lead to some very funny results.”
