Hutchison Whampoa, parent company of the 3 UK mobile network, has published its 2009 annual results today. Total revenue was down 14% year-on-year, with oil & gas prices and currency exchange rates blamed for the drop.
The 3 Group is now responsible for over 26.8 million 3G customers worldwide, up 29% during the year. In the UK, the number of customers rose by 15% in 2009 and - at the end of March 2010 - was 6.26 million.
