GetJar brings app store sales team to the UK

GetJar, the world’s second-largest mobile application store, has appointed former Microsoft man James Mooney to head a new UK-based sales team. James spent six years managing the Agency Sales Business at Microsoft Advertising, building one of the leading digital sales organisations in the UK.

He said "I’m thrilled to be heading up GetJar’s UK team and to be directly involved in the thriving apps economy - which is experiencing such exciting times. GetJar has a superior business strategy, unique to its competitors and I’m looking forward to helping them drive continued growth."

GetJar delivers applications across all major platforms including Android, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, iPhone and Symbian. Over 1 billion apps have been downloaded from its store at getjar.com.
