Eleven new Symbian phones from Sharp and Fujitsu destined for Japan

Don't write-off Symbian as being a Nokia-only mobile platform. Today Japanese network operator NTT DOCOMO has unveiled eleven new handsets that'll run the Symbian^2 platform. Five will be manufactured by Fujitsu Limited and six by Sharp Corporation.

The range of Symbian devices includes waterproof phones, fashion phones, two 14-megapixel camera phones, a phone with an embedded mini-projector and an eco-friendly phone made with surplus wood culled from overgrown Japanese forests.
