HTC takes new legal action against Apple for patent infringement

Last year we saw Apple launching a patent claim against HTC - and HTC responded. Now HTC Corporation is taking new legal action against Apple. It’s filed a complaint with the US International Trade Commission and the US District Court of Delaware, claiming patent infringement by the Apple Mac computer and the Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod product lines.

Grace Lei, general counsel at HTC Corporation, said “We are taking this action against Apple to protect our intellectual property, our industry partners, and most importantly our customers that use HTC phones. This is the 3rd case before the ITC in which Apple is infringing our intellectual property. Apple needs to stop its infringement of our patented inventions in its products.”

The patents involved are said to cover aspects of the user experience.
