Doro sells five million mobile phones worldwide

Easy-to-use mobile phone manufacturer Doro says it’s now sold five million handsets worldwide. The Swedish company exceeded four million sales in May this year and launched its Liberto 810 smartphone in September.

Chris Millington, Managing Director of Doro UK and Ireland, said “We know that when users find a device easier and more enjoyable they will use it more. Doro’s approach ensures that regardless of age, or the type of mobile used, everyday communication is improved. This impressive achievement proves that we are connecting the generations. Our next objective is to get 80% of seniors connected to the web. This is the next frontier in our strategy to bridge the digital divide.”

Earlier this year Doro acquired its German distributor IVS and also gained GMS (Google Mobile Services) partner certification, enabling it to pre-load Google’s mobile apps on its Android devices.
