Hello Moto, goodbye Motorola

Lenovo will stop using the Motorola name on mobile phones this year, according to a report on CNET. Instead it says it’ll rely on the ‘Moto’ brand and the Motorola M logo.

The mobile phones will apparently be described as ‘Moto by Lenovo’, although the Motorola name will remain as a division of Lenovo. Lenovo is expected to produce phones using its ‘Vibe’ brand as well.

Google bought Motorola Mobility in 2012 and sold it to Lenovo in 2014.
