Ofcom sets out its plans for the next year

UK telecoms regulator Ofcom has published a draft version of its annual plan for the 12 months from 1st April 2010 to 31st March 2011. The final version will be published next year.

Most of its aims are directly connected with the mobile industry; these include:

making progress on mobile phone 'not-spots',
ensuring consumers can switch communication providers by removing unnecessary barriers,
starting to clear the 800MHz band for new services,
releasing spectrum for mobile broadband, and
ensuring wireless services for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games will be delivered.

Full details are in Ofcom's pdf document. Any responses to the plans are requested by 17th February 2010; it's also holding a series of public meetings to hear views on its plans.
