Upgrade for flagship phone as HTC announces the One X+

HTC has announced an updated version of its One X Android smartphone. The HTC One X+ has a similar design to its predecessor but offers improved performance, a longer battery life, more storage and the new HTC Sense 4+ user interface.

Now with a 1.7 GHz quad-core processor and 64GB of internal storage, the HTC One X+ also includes a 2100 mAh battery for up to 50% more talk time. As with the previous version, there’s a 4.7-inch screen, an 8-megapixel camera and enhanced sound from Beats Audio.

Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation, said “We are taking the HTC One X to a new level with the introduction of the new HTC One X+. Our customers will have super-fast browsing, an even better camera and more immersive entertainment with Beats Audio.”

The HTC One X+ with Android v4.1 is expected to go on sale in Europe later this month. Existing HTC One X owners will be offered an update to HTC Sense 4+ and Android 4.1 in the next few weeks.
