Vodafone creates new Group Enterprise unit as part of Cable & Wireless Worldwide integration

Vodafone Group plc is creating a new Group Enterprise unit that’ll be run by Nick Jeffery, currently CEO of Cable & Wireless Worldwide. It will start working on 1st January with Mr Jeffrey reporting directly to Vodafone CEO Vittorio Colao.

The new unit will consist of four teams: Vodafone Global Enterprise, Vodafone Carrier Services, Machine-to-Machine solutions and Hosting and Cloud Services.

This move is part of Vodafone’s recent acquisition of the Cable & Wireless Worldwide business, which was announced in April. According to Vodafone, integration of the two businesses will take place faster than previously anticipated due to “strong customer demand for combined products and services”. A number of CWW functions will merge with their Vodafone equivalents next month.
