Samsung’s Galaxy S smartphone series sells over 100 million units

Samsung says worldwide channel sales of its Android-powered Galaxy S series smartphones - the current Galaxy S III, the previous S II and the original Galaxy S launched in June 2010 - have passed 100 million units.

The figure consists of around 24 million units of the Galaxy S, around 40 million of the Galaxy S II and more than 40 million of the Galaxy S III.
