Amazon introduces an easier sign-in process for third-party mobile apps and web sites

Online retailer Amazon has launched a new service called Login with Amazon. It’ll let any Amazon customer log in to mobile apps, online games and other websites with their Amazon account details. Mobile developers and web site managers will be able to incorporate Login with Amazon to save customers from creating a separate account.

Facebook already offers a similar service for users and developers.

Michael Carr, Amazon Vice President for eCommerce Services, said “Login with Amazon enables app developers and website owners to leverage Amazon’s trusted sign-in solution, allowing them to focus on providing a great experience for their customers. Amazon customers now have a hassle-free way to quickly and securely sign-in to apps, games and websites, without having to remember yet another password.”

Login with Amazon is available free to Android, iOS and web developers.
