Doro pre-loads AVG AntiVirus on its new Android smartphone

Easy-to-use smartphone manufacturer Doro has agreed a deal with AVG Technologies that’ll see AVG AntiVirus Pro software pre-loaded on the Doro Liberto 810 smartphone.

Customers buying the Doro Liberto will receive a year’s licence to use the mobile security app free of charge.

Jérôme Arnaud, President and CEO at Doro, said “We are the global leader in mobile phones for seniors - an audience segment that is often overlooked. Our mission is to help them overcome the digital divide and have more enjoyment in life, by being better-connected.  Bringing the Internet to seniors in an accessible and inclusive manner via an easy-to-use smartphone, offers huge lifestyle benefits. We are able to provide extra peace of mind by working with AVG for our security solution.”

Doro, which released its first easy-to-use mobile phone in 2007, produces handsets that are targeted at older consumers.
