Apple has made it possible for software developers to start creating applications that interact with its forthcoming Apple Watch, which is expected to go on sale early next year.

The company’s new WatchKit software will offer developers the ability to create watch-centric apps and link other apps to the watch without having a physical device to work with.

There'll be 2 billion mobile commerce users within three years, says Juniper Research

Over 2 billion mobile phone and tablet users will make some form of mobile commerce transaction by the end of 2017, according to a new report from Juniper Research.

That’s up from an anticipated 1.6 billion people this year.

A new report from online security company AVG Technologies says social media is often to blame for affecting smartphone battery life and other performance factors.

Its latest Android App Performance Report is based on an analysis of anonymous data from over one million AVG Android app users around the world, listing the top apps that affect data consumption, storage capacity and battery life.
