British technology company Intelligent Environments has launched what claims to be the 'world's first Internet of Things banking platform'.
Called Interact IoT, it enables smart devices such as the Nest Learning Thermostat and the Pavlok training wristband to be linked with a bank account.
Google says it’s planning to launch a new iOS and Android ‘smart messaging’ app called Allo, along with a video calling app called Duo.
Both are based on the user’s mobile phone number, drawing comparisons with WhatsApp.

Google introduces its mobile payment rival to Apple Pay
Google has launched its Android Pay mobile payment service in the UK today.
It first introduced the service to the USA around nine months ago.

Technology business and former mobile pioneer Nokia says it’s planning to acquire digital health company Withings S.A this autumn.
It’s put a value of €170 million on Withings, saying the move will help accelerate its entry into the digital health sector.
