A new type of loyalty scheme for O2 'pay as you go' customers

O2 UK has introduced a loyalty scheme to its prepay tariff, giving customers a deal that gets better depending on the amount of time they stay on it.

The Pay & Go prepay tariff has been transformed into Pay & Go Go Go. There are two versions; one costs £10 per month and the other costs £20 monthly.

After three months, the allowances for calls, text messages and mobile data are increased. After six months, customers receive 10% back when they top up with more credit. And after 9 months customers receive an unlimited text message allowance.

Customers who are moving from an existing O2 account will be given the ‘three month’ allowance when they start.

Sally Cowdry, Marketing & Consumer Director for O2 in the UK, said “We all want to feel appreciated by the companies we choose to do business with. At O2 we’ve always prioritised loyal customers with offers like Fair Deal, O2 Rewards and Priority Moments. Pay & Go Go Go is yet another way of us rewarding and recognising that loyalty.”

Pay and Go Go go, is a commitment to top up £10 or £20 every month. This is not the same as Pay as you go where you can top up one month and this credit may last 2 or 3 months if you are a light user, so your top ups may be 2 or 3 monthly.

Using the Pay and Go go go is no different from being on a monthly contract. As I understand it, or am I wrong? please correct me if I am.
