Independent application store GetJar has found that one in three of its users are downloading mobile applications every day… and eight out of ten people have recommended a mobile app to a friend. In addition, mobile app users are more likely to access the internet from their mobile handsets than from their computers, with 72% of respondents (62% in the UK and 69% in the USA) saying this is the case.
The figures come from a worldwide poll of 13,518 GetJar users last month; it also showed that 65% of consumers downloading apps from the GetJar site are men aged 18-34. [Press release]
