Almost half of all young British men have a smartphone

The latest Ipsos MediaCT Technology Tracker survey shows that 31% of British adults own a smartphone, which is a dramatic increase from 13% at the beginning of last year. The increase is highest amongst under 35s, where 48% of men and 40% of women now own smartphones.

Ipsos-Mori also notes that 14% of GB adults now own an iPhone and 9% have a BlackBerry device. 4% of Brits have tablet devices; around half of these are iPads.
