Android App Inventor beta now open to anyone with a Google account

Christmas is just around the corner… but Google hasn’t been slowing down. As well as announcing updates to its Voice Search and Maps applications this week, it’s also released its App Inventor beta to anyone with a Google account.

App Inventor, which was announced in July, is an experimental service that allows almost anyone to create an Android application for their own use. It was previously only available after making a personal application to Google.
