Google revealed more about its ‘Android Wear’ platform at the Google I/O developer conference last week, with Samsung and LG both confirming the availability of new smartwatches. Android Wear - a version of the Android mobile operating system for wearable devices - was previewed in March
The previously-announced LG G Watch is now available online for £159, while the Samsung Gear Live is £169. Both can provide information via Google and will work with almost any smartphone running Android v4.3 upwards.
Meanwhile Motorola’s Moto 360 watch is due for its US release within the next few weeks.
