Appitalism.com music catalogue now contains more than 10 million tracks

Applitalism.com, the combination of social network and application store that launched in September and ‘went global’ a few weeks ago, says it now has more than 10 million music downloads in its catalogue for US and Canadian visitors. UK users can browse through more than 5 million tracks.

Purchased content is kept in the user's ‘personal App Cloud’ from where it can be downloaded onto different devices by logging in from any web browser.

In a separate announcement, Applitalism’s parent company Mobile Streams plc says it’s moving its Group Finance function from the UK to New York. As a result, UK-based CFO Ian Brewer is being made redundant with effect from 17 February 2011. Gabriel Margent, current CFO of Appitalism, has been promoted to the Group CFO role.
