Apple responds to overheating and cracking iPhone complaints

Apple says recent reports of iPhones ‘exploding’ with broken screens were caused by external force. The French General Directorate for Fair Trading, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control (DGCCRF) has been investigating a number of complaints. Apple also says there are currently no confirmed battery overheating incidents for the iPhone 3GS. [Sources: BBC News; Bloomberg.com]
