Apple sells over a million iPhone 3GS handsets in 3 days

Apple says it’s sold over one million iPhone 3GS models in the first three days since launch – and six million customers have downloaded the new iPhone 3.0 software in the first five days since its release. One analyst had predicted a total of 500,000 iPhone sales including older 3G devices, so these figures are clearly much better than expected.

Here in the UK, O2 says the 16GB version is proving more popular than the 32GB model and black iPhones are outselling white ones.
