The Bluetooth Special Interest Group is due to announce Bluetooth 3.0 on 21st April. One of the major developments is expected to be the ability for Bluetooth devices to share data via WiFi; allowing, for example, a mobile phone to ‘pair’ with a laptop by Bluetooth and then to transfer data using WiFi – assuming that both devices are WiFi-compatible.
