The latest figures calculated by the Mobclix Blog show that books now outnumber games for the first time in Apple App Store history. Almost a fifth of all applications (over 26,500 downloadable programs) are now e-books.
With Apple's new iPad just around the corner – assuming there's no delay to the announced schedule – it seems likely that the number of App Store books will continue increasing in the short-term.
