Carphone drops commission payments for all UK shops

The Carphone Warehouse is dropping in-store commission in the next few weeks… and the news has even made the mainstream press. The company has been operating a trial scheme of commission-free stores in London since last autumn and it’s applying the practice to all of its UK shops from July. Instead of receiving commission payments, staff will see their basic salaries rise and can also receive a proportion of the profit generated by their store. [Source: Guardian.co.uk]
