Complex new products mean dealers need to maintain their expertise

The message from the GSMA Mobile World Congress for the UK’s mobile phone dealers is "know your technology", according to Mobile News reporter MaryLou Costa. In her podcast report from Barcelona this week she says it’s increasingly important for retail staff to know the capabilities of the new handsets they’re selling.

"Whether they win the sale or not is going to be based on how well they’ve demonstrated the handset and how well they’ve shown what features can enhance the customers’ lives".

"There’s no point in having a 12 megapixel camera in your phone if you don’t really know how to use it and you’re just going to take drunken photos on a Saturday night!"
