Daisy Group acquires Fone Logistics

Northumberland-based Fone Logistics is the latest mobile telecoms company to be acquired by the Daisy Group. It's spent £3.6 million on the acquisition, although Fone Logistics MD Ian Gillespie is understood to be retaining part of his business.

Handset and airtime distributor Fone Logistics was founded in 1996. It restructured last year, with founder Ian Gillespie taking a more active role in the company. In the future, Fone Logistics will be managed by Daisy Group's distribution business Anglia Telecom Centres.
