Deutsche Telekom launches its own UK app store

Deutsche Telekom has launched a software download store in the UK called Softwareload. It currently contains more than 15,000 mobile applications, including business software, games and organisational tools. In addition, there’s also PC-based software. Softwareload’s UK mobile store will offer apps that are compatible with BlackBerry, Palm, Symbian and Windows Mobile devices. Customers can download and install software onto their mobile phone via their PC or directly onto the device.

The German version of the site already has more than 1½ million registered users.
