Digital Economy Bill confirms 'Digital Britain' plans

The Digital Britain report, which set out the UK's plans for broadband, telecoms and broadcasting services, is set to become law as the Digital Economy Bill. The bill was mentioned in the Queen's Speech on Wednesday and was published on Thursday, causing a considerable public debate about illegal file sharing and copyright infringement.
