Everything EverywhereEverything Everywhere is enabling UK customers on Orange and T-Mobile to use the 3G signal from either network. It follows what the company called the ‘big switch-on’ last year, which allowed Orange and T-Mobile customers to to make calls and send texts using the other network.

3G roaming within the UK will be rolled out to all 27 million Orange and T-Mobile mobile customers starting next week, with the entire network sharing process expected to take several months. The company has calculated that almost 41 million hours of calls have been made by customers on the ‘other’ network since cross-network roaming was introduced last year.

Olaf Swantee, CEO of Everything Everywhere, said “This is a significant achievement and demonstrates the latest milestone in our network vision and customer promise – to provide more things, to more people in more places than any other company in Britain. Customers are always on the move and demanding instant access to information wherever they are. Not only will customers be able to talk in places they weren’t able to before, they’ll also now be able to access the internet, social networks or download emails at improved speeds, in more places.”
