First 3G-enabled Windows 7 consumer tablet launched in Europe

Ambiance Technology, based in the Netherlands, says it's the first company in Europe to launch a consumer 3G tablet computer operated by the Windows 7 Home Premium operating system. (That's the full PC operating system, not Windows Phone 7). The new AT-Tablet has a 10-inch screen, an Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz chip, a 3G SIM card slot, WiFi, a 160GB hard drive and a 1.3 megapixel webcam. It's expected to go on sale next month.

Eric Schouten, managing director of Ambiance Technology, said "Microsoft even called to congratulate us with the first professional answer to all the Android commotion. This tablet makes you more mobile, frees you from an endless dependency on wires, sockets or special app stores."
