Five-fold increase in femtocell sales expected next year

Infonetics Research has calculated that the number of 2G and 3G femtocells sold for use in GSM/GPRS, CDMA, W-CDMA/HSPA and CDMA2000/EV-DO mobile networks is expected to increase five-fold from 2009 to 2010. It’s part of a report that predicts sales of fixed-mobile convergence and femtocell equipment to hit $7.4 billion in 2013, with the economic downturn only having a mild impact on femtocell sales.
